MEETING LOCATION: Chili’s – Casa Grande

CLUB ISSUES:

1. New members are needed! Recommend regional committees.

2. Non run events needed! Recommend a Tread Lightly event where a Master Trainer comes. Charge a small fee to non-members, or have them become members. Also recommend a Meet-N-Greet sometime soon at a Dairy Queen or similar venue. Perhaps join in with another group or car show. Perhaps a Toys for Tot’s run with a motorcycle club (KJ’s transport the presents). Also perhaps a ‘street run’ to Tortilla Flats or Santan Flats.

3. This year’s budget was presented and adopted.

4. Discussion about the Club approaching 4wheelparts for member discounts via their club partnership program.

5. Bethany kindly offered up her land up north for a camping/wheeling weekend in May. She’ll post more info.

6. Todd to try (yet again) to actually organize an ‘Off-Road 101 Class’

7. Discussed having a Thanksgiving Run

8. Dan invited everyone one to see his fireworks show in Superior on the 4th of July.

9. Talk of a summer run up north to take advantage of the cool.

10. Committee’s Formed:

Events – Tammy, Todd and Paul.
Membership – Dan (Tucson area), Ernie (Phx area), and Scott (Yuma area).
Historical – Kevin (trail database)

11. Club business cards need to be ordered and distributed. Also need new stickers with revised logo/name.

12. Board Members for ’08 appointed:

President – Dan
VP – Kevin
Secretary – Vern
Treasurer – Mike D
Trail Captain – Mike L

13. A June trip to Moab is in the planning stages. More info to be posted.

14. State Land Permits – they never became available through membership in ASA4WDC. The State Permits are only available directly from the State Land Dept.

15. ASA4WDC will be holding a Jamboree soon.

16. Vern is still the Adopt a Trail Chairperson for the ASA4WDC. Contact him for more info.

17. Recommend the club approach Jeep dealerships to have them spread the word that our club is out there to new KJ/KK buyers.

18. Recommend contacting the Tucson Rough Riders (for what? I didn't take any other notes and I forgot...)
