After reading threw some posts while i was banned and not being able to post i have a question on these hellas http://www.amazon.com/Hella-HLA-76110-A ... 28&sr=1-10 Would they be ok for a top rack or lightbar, 4 of them with 100 watt bulbs in stead of the 55w they come with. Will 100w melt the housing? Read (on here) someone used em on the front bumper with 75W, and amazon comment says they used 100w. Was hoping to go with 150w or so pellas but cant spring for the 600-1200 it would cost and these look like a good alternative untill i can. 2 on front bumper and 4 up top. Lol also probably 2 in rear for back up/tailgaters now that i think of it. O yeah and are the "drive" lights what is used for the lightbars? |

Those look like the ones I have on my roof rack. They work pretty well. I flip them down when not in use to reduce wind drag, so they're never set where I need them to point. lol. That's not a bad price on them either, cheaper than wally world or other auto stores. I know some others have used them on the bumper too. Not sure about the bulb watt ratings. I'm sure you've checked out the electronics section. If not. there are a few different threads about the Hella 500s. Good luck with your decesion and make sure to post up pics when you get them all installed. Mike Oh yeah, I have driving lights up top. Thought about putting the fogs on the bumper. |

I know this sounds funny, but I had those lights mounted on my Honda Del Sol in the body kit and they are a very good bang for the buck. They are bright and cheap and come with all the hardware needed to mount. I would say get them! |
