Sorry I wasn't my usual obnoxious self and wasn't feeling very well Friday. Beth and I really enjoyed this year's TrJ, even though we were under attack by giant skunks and a pack of coyotes that walked through camp last night. And, thanks for the surprise birthday wishes and the giant cake Beth brought. It was a great way to celebrate my 62nd birthay and usher in official retirement.

I'd like to give a BIG thanks to my bud, Roland, for helping setting this event up and pre-running the trails with me this past summer. Thanks to Vern for leading us through the wilderness and thanks to everyone for some great chili and a really fun time.

While we had fun, it sad to have to say bye to Mike L. and his lovely lady, Katelyn (formerly known as +1). God speed and hoping the best for you guys in Louisiana. (Beth said to tell you she thinks Jeep need to stay in AZ, and she'd be more than glad to give him a new home).

I'll post up some pics tomorrow in the pic thread. Thanks again everyone for a great time. Hope to see everyone again soon.

AJ and Beth

AJ, Beth, Roland, agreed you guys did a great job setting up this event. It was a great time as usual. I'm glad we had a good turn out for my last ride in AZ for a while. Katelynn and I will miss you all. Think Jeep will wanna go w/ us though, sorry Beth.

later, mike

Wow!!!

Great camping
Great views
Great facilities
Great trail (See, 1 inch lift is plenty- only hit passenger rail once)
Great trail rating 2.8 plus
Great party with
Great friends to party with
Great chili
Great 4X4 Jeep talk ( from diesel talk to TJL talk to the famous "we don't need no spark plugs" to learning more of ZJ's talk)
Great time with all from the very start to the very end.

Gonna miss the Douglas contingent and wish the best- glad to be part of your official last Az run-you will leave a big void in our AZ LOST group and those Southern LOSTERs will gain a bunch with you there.

Good to see all those beefy KJ's up in the most rural of AZ and the CJ5 in our group just made it better ( oh yeah the Wranglers were cool too). Did anyone tear up an oil pan? After all its a Liberty (that was sooo funny when I heard that!)

I will post pics soon.

Roland
