we will be running the east side of bulldog canyon monday 2/15 if anyone is interested. We will go in at the apache junction entrance on idaho rd and expect to exit near cottonwood. Meeting up 10am @ gas station NE corner of idaho rd and US60. If anyone is interested, post up.

**remembert that bulldog canyon requires a permit for entry. It is free and can be obtained from the mesa ranger station.**

Another fun day in the Arizona Desert!! We ran a different part of Bulldog Canyon today with Rex, his son Blake, and his friend Seth. We did the FSR 1356 loop and FSR 12. For those who've never been to Bulldog Canyon, I'd highly recommend getting your permit and running all the different trails within the OHV area. The scenery is great and there are a few challenges along the way. By far, the toughest part is the FSR 12 section... maybe just about on the same rating as the Coke Ovens in spots.

There was some carnage....

Rex... broke his CB antenna mount on an overhanging tree limb.

Me... trashed my right side sway bar link and bent the bottom bracket.

I'm making a trip over to 4 Wheelers Supply in Phoenix on Thursday to get the damaged repaired, AND some new JKS quick adjustable disconnects installed. You can bet the next time I'm on the trail I'll be disconnecting when I air down!!

Here's a pic of the damage, the sway bar link is missing, at the top is was pulled out at the swivel, and the bottom bracket is bent in....

Here are a couple of pics of Rex on the trail. There were several pretty tough spots, but I was too busy playing spotter to take any pictures....

definitely worth going again soon. I would like to spend some more time on that tougher section and explore a little more.

My cb mount turned out to be okay. I pulled the antenna a little too hard on a tree branch and knocked the securing bolt loose. On the way home we picked up a new bolt for $0.45 to fix it. I had to take the taillight off and disassemble the mount, but got it fixed.

Who knew bulldog canyon had so much to offer? And so close to home!

Looks like it was fun! AJ...you gotta go easy on the skinny pedal or you end up braking stuff:) I love the carnage, hope you get it fixed asap.

You love the carnage, eh?? Getting it fixed tomorrow. Going to 4 Wheeler's supply tomorrow to get the bracket straighten and installing some beefy JKS disconnects.

OT: Don't you have some news for those of us that aren't on facebook???? :CAMPING:

JKS quick disconnects.....

All fixed and better than the OEM links ever were. Very easy on and off. Just a light tap with a rubber mallet is all it takes. The hardest part of disconnecting is tying the sway bar in a horizontal position....
