I'm tossing this out to see if there is any interest in running the Mojave Road again this coming Memorial Day Weekend.... May 28~30. It's a 130 mile two day run through the desolate Mojave Desert. Several of us ran the trail last year from Barstow, CA to Laughlin, NV. It's a 3~4 day trip, depending if you stay in Laughlin at the end of the trail, or make the drive back to Phoenix.

Last year we met up in Barstow and stayed in a motel Friday night. The actual run is two full days, camping one night on the trail. Some folks stayed the night in Laughlin at the end of the trail, others made the drive back to Phoenix. You will have to be 100% self sufficient with camping gear, food, water, extra fuel, and your Jeep needs to be in top mechanical condition. Once on the trail, there are no services of any kind.

If anyone wants to do this run, post up and we'll start making plans, and I can answer any questions you may have. This is not a trail to run solo... I'll do it with at least one other vehicle, but it would be more fun and safer traveling with a bigger group.

Sooooo if I come out, do I get to drive the KJ or the TJ???? lol. Wish I could, I'll actually be in AZ that weekend. Unfortunately I have a graduation to go too. Sorry AJ. Hope you get a good turn out. That trip was a great time.

LOL... you have your priorities all screwed around backwards!! I have a spare KJ sitting in the garage you can use.....

I'm bringing these back to the top one more time to see if there is any interest in doing this trip over the Memorial day weekend (May 28~31). It was a fun trip last year... Beth and I would really like to run this trail again before it gets too hot.
