Bars close at 2am. Downtown Phoenix doesn't have too much nightlife. Old Town Scottsdale and Tempe are the best IMO. However, it's been a while since I stayed up to be around for last call... darn age. :P

You're moving at the wrong time though  If you haven't experienced 115+ degrees, then you are in for a treat.

The wheelin' out here is great, and if you are into any other outdoor activity, it is practically heaven.

As far as nightlife goes, I don't know. I hear there are lots of cool "happening" places, but I work weekends so I don't know any "hotspots" or what have you.

What degree you graduating with? If its an Engineering degree take a look in the Yuma area, the Yuma Proving Ground is hiring!!! Welcome to the state!!! Take a look in the LOST events section and you'll see that this past weekend we had a sweet get together, just one of the many things you have to look forward too when being out here!!

There is something for everyone here. Tempe has some great night life in addition to what phxtoad said. AZ is the place to be. Bring shorts and sun screen:)

Yeah i was in AZ for spring break in march about 2 years ago and it was like 115. dont mind the heat. Ill be graduating with a criminal justice degree, however the job i would be taking if I moved would be in HR. I have a relative who works for HR in Sheraton hotels and she is looking into getting me a job. Been into Tempe and its awesome, Scottsdale is absurd the houses are amazing that are built into the mountain.
