Alright, so for those that may have read this and are scratching your head, here's the latest.

I'm driving to Kevin's Offroad in Phoenix, AZ (exactly it is 3464 West Earll Drive) to drop the Libby off for a small modification. We'll be installing Dana44s w/ 4.56 gears front and rear and doing a whole bunch of crazy stuff. Unfortunately for me i will be out of town for all of this and that is where I am hoping my fellow LOST mates can hook me up. I spoke with Kevin this afternoon and he said it would be fine if some of yall would come by and take pictures of the build process as it was going along and wanted to post them to the board since i won't be able too. He may not let you take photos of some things since it won't be clean or neat but he said there should be no issues.

Also if anyone is interested in parts for their Libby and are in the area let me know as everything is pretty much up for sale and you can pick it up from Kevin's shop at the address listed earlier in this post.

So I'll be showing up at Kevin's Shop about 3pm tomorrow and anyone else is welcome to show up too and say goodbye to the IFS as we know it on my rig.

Happy Trails everyone!!!!!

-Scott

Hmmm, tyres....

I'm trying not to think about that yet, since I know those ain't gunna be cheap, LOL!

Seriously though, I'm looking at 33s or 35s. I'll stick with the BFGs I think too, they've done great for me so far.

Scott... I'll see you at Kevin's. Roland is going to meet up with us and we're gonna head over to a real good Texas style steak house. After dinner we'll drop you off at your hotel.

It's official!! Come tomorrow morning Scott's KJ is no longer an IFS and is on it's way to being a rugged SFA. I got a chance to look at the axles they're going to install on the build... there is no mistaking they're heavy duty axles.

I can't wait to see the finished product. Oh, and I'll let Scott tell you about SEMA!!

Just curious... I can understand him sponsoring Scott, he did the build on that Jeep. Why would he sponsor someone else's build on his business roster, or did I misunderstand your comment, and you just wanted to go with him??

I'll be running Dana 44s, the front is actually a South American D44 and it 33 spline with 4.56 gears and an OX cable driven locker. The rear is a 30 spline Dana44 with 4.56s and also an OX cable driven locker.

The SEMA thing is a possibility, but yea it seems Kevins shop is a member of the SEMA Aftermarket business club or something to that effect. I'm sure if you ask nicely he can get you a pass to the show or something, lol.

Visited Kevins Off Road Shop yesterday and had a chance to talk to him. I told him I was the raffle winner of his discount offering from FITS V and we are working something out. Very nice guy. My project with him is a surprise...
We did chat a while about Scotts 2006 KJ SFA build and we tossed over that condition of the BCM, ABS, ECU all requiring to work together with ABS in relation to the ABS action as well as ESP/Traction control. Seems ALL SFA conversions done and talked about on the LOST JEEPS forum so far are 2004's and older and there is no ABS as well as no ESP. So I am looking forward to see how he gets everything worked out.
Anyway any involvement in SEMA or a SEMA project would be real cool! This Jeep shop wanted to get involved with Liberties and he did in fact take the KJ dive.

I'm thinking we'll pull the fuses for those systems and the bulbs for the inmdicator lights as the new axles on the rig will not have ABS. There only lies the question of how will the BCM like not having these systems functioning.

Speaking of SFAs though, was driving around Park City, UT today and saw a silver KJ that had an SFA on it, very nice looking. It was heading south on HWY224. Looked to be an 04 or earlier KJ.
