All,
AJ is in the hospital in the ICU in very bad condition.

He has asked me to post up in th AZ Section so as to have any concerned in the know.

He was admitted early Monday afternoon and has been in ICU the entire time. I visited with him (had to prove I was immediate family just about) this evening and it was a very somber mood. He is very coherent and sharp and my hat is off to him to have such a smooth, serious and "not scared" demeanor about him. I was the one choking up and trying to keep a stiff upper lip... Believe me when I say with this very real obsticale put on him, he has real class to be so calm and civil.

He asks not that people feel sorry for him but he graciously accepts hopefull acalades. Funny how half our conversation tonite was about Jeeps and the club and the trails. He is a true Jeeper.

PM me if you wish your e-mail and I will reveal the hospital and Room #. I will ask him if it it OK to do this frist being ICU and all.

AJ has lukemia (sp?) ,cancer in the blood and the strain is of the worst kind. Threw everything else off kelter in the body real bad.

Thank you all for your prayers. AJ passed away tonight after a very hard struggle. He was in such distress and about 4 PM told me he had to leave me. He was not able to keep up the good fight. He was not getting any air and it was a very hard day of trying. He was so happy when Roland showed up and he was able to give him a thumb up. He was just so very very sick. It came on so suddenly that I can't grasp that he is gone. I have good news though he gave his life to the Lord today so I will see him in heaven. I wish I could just go too now. He was all I had. Either myself or maybe Roland will put together AJ's last request. He wants to be cremated and have all of you guys go with me to Montana Mountain and scatter his ashes. I hope that we can do that all together. Thank you for all the friendships we have with you all. He always to the end today said you were his great friends. I will talk to you all soon. Beth
