The silence just hurts! All these nice days just passing by. I have been doing lots of work to keep the KJ CRD going as I hit 150k miles and am keeping up my hope to get another 150k. Engine and trans aside from pesky turbo problems are doing well. It's the rest of the Jeep I struggle with especially the front end. Still working to get clunk and rattle noises eliminated. But the truck still runs and continues to be a dd. Oh yeah Silverdiesel has a second Jeep now and lots of upgrades are going on too. 2005 TJ 2.4L gasser with NV 6 speed soft top totally stock other than the prev owner put on 31s on the 15s. Really looked and looked for anything Jeep diesel other than KJ ( or GC ) but no avail. Looked for a long time. Upgrades include exery thing from a mild ProComp acoil spring lift to bumpers, skids/ other armor and other stuff. . Got a Dana 44 limited slip with discs to replace the D35 in rear and an e locker for front D30! (could this be the Frankenstein body for the VM Motori diesel later on?) Both jeeps are running and repairs and play addons go on at a leisurely pace. I am in heaven right now doing all this. Untimate goal is to flat tow TJ behind KJ ( that will drop my MPG on the diesel to around 20!). So hopefully when someone ( or me ) posts a trail run I will be ready. One note: now that I have seen what the underside of a stock TJ looks like.... It's WOW!! KJ is built much stronger and beefier! Next to the KJ the TJ is wimpy. Everything from the 545RFE to the corporate 8.25 to even the size of the drive shafts I knew I picked the better truck in the first place!! It's like what's the big deal about Wrangler when Liberty is much better! Still I like the TJ and will give it vitamins to give it a better stature. |

I'll take care of those crickets. Where is my can of Raid! This is my first time checking things out here in many months. I't is good to see there is still some activty. Assuming the Liberty is more working than broke down on that weekend I'd like to meet up and run some trails. It would be good to see all of you again. It looks like I missed any semblance of Fun In The Sun Run this year. Maybe do a Fun In The Sun camping trip optional trail run and see who bites. |

Howdy. I had to stop Jeeping. Life got in the way and I could not keep up with it all. I am getting the Jeep ready to sell now, Sadly. But a new Jeep is in the works  .Take care everybody. |
