My CRD crapped a turbo and depending on the price to fix it and a bad injector I might just part it out and sell it. I'm gauging interest to see how much I can get for the armor as that may be the most valuable thing on it.

I have a:

1. Rock Lizard HD rear
2. Sundance custom front
3. Modified Boulderbars (longer with sliders added)
4. All J's superskid
5. Kilby gas tank skid

Pics shortly...

Granted, I am just gauging serious interest for now as that will help me determine what I will do with the CRD.

Thanks!

I would be interested in the front bumper and boulder bars.

I already replaced a turbo ....$1K incl r+r....been real lucky with no injector problems. I have an independent trusted mechanic that is really good for my big problems and since we are few and far between he is amazingly good to and has high confidence working on CRD. Gotta 06 VW TDI he keeps an eye on too.
He did my turbo, timing belt, and stuff like EGR coolant delete. If you like I can PM his phone #....
Other than more than my share of glow plug problems ( even after the metal 5V plug update had to replace a metal one) I have 155K of happy miles on my KJ CRD.
Soooo replace that Garrett and fix that injector and keep dieseling!

Roland, for future reference. Is he the guy in Glendale you posted about?
I think I was going to PM you about him, but the Mechanic that does my company trucks was willing and able to fix my crank seal issues i had (or created). BTW where do you get your Biodiesel on the Westside?

Azscout has to be the first to have the CRD and lift kit and do some serious wheeling in and around AZ. I hope he still has the diesel bug and keeps on but, like Vern, I wish him well in his other hopefully Jeep related endeavors.
On other questions: yes my go to mechanic is Chris at Arlos autohaus and again it is his confidence at approaching and repairing major issues on VM Motori that makes him capable. He even now does Malone tuning on gasser and diesel VWs so he is not afraid to "crack open" a few ECU boxes to get the job done!
My one of two sources of biodiesel is fortunately just two blocks from where I work, Western States Oil Company at 15th Ave and Lincoln St (at railroad tracks). They have a high quality soy based product that has never let me down.
