So who's up for a run out to the Coke Ovens? Now that I'm back down here I'd love to get out there, so lets see what we can get going... |

Let's go! I've had to bail on the last couple of runs/meetings due to work and buying the new house but I'm back to a "normal" work schedule (for now). I did Box Canyon last year but didn't have the courage at that time to go down to the river or up to Martinez Cabin. Someone name the meet up place. |

I'm not in Moab, but I'm not able to go anywhere right now. I have too much going on and can't leave. Probably have another week of this junk left. |

Well, if either of you are up for a run this Saturday or Sunday I can probably fit it in. Weather looks good and I don't think I have to work Saturday - I'll know for sure by thursday. Maybe we can get hold of Lost TJ and bring him along - ya out there, Travis? I'll keep an eye on the thread as time permits. If we do a run I'd say meet at the Cottonwood way turnoff (about halfway between Florence Junction and Florence) around 9am, or we can meet somewhere on the east side of Mesa and caravan out. PM me and I can supply a phone number. If we can't do it this weekend I'll be out of town the next (may 6/7). |

Not quite, but theres not a lot of activity around. Seth, I may be able to do something this weekend but I'm not sure if it will be Coke Ovens. Maybe the Rolls or something out toward 4 peaks if you would be interested. I'll PM you with my phone number. |

All right! I was just about ready to give this one a bump to see if anyone was still interested. I could be up for a run, but it would probably be on sunday if we go this weekend, maybe on a saturday if we wanna wait a week or two. I have to work this saturday as it stands right now, but that could change if we are still having component issues (vendors sending us questionable parts again Oh, and if anyone is interested in helping out I'm planning on doing a clevis/spacer lift on my Lib in a month or two. Can't afford an aftermarket lift kit so I figure the clevis lift is the way to go. |

I'm up for a run but it's gonna be mid to late june before I can go. Enjoy the ovens if you go, it's a nice trail! Looking forward to hooking up with everyone soon. Here's a link to stream flow information to see if a river crossing exit is a possibility. The river exit makes for a much shorter trip, but be careful. http://www.virtualjeepclub.com/showthread.php?t=10231 |

Well, I'm out of town this coming weekend; figure everyone else has plans for the long weekend too. I could see doing it the next weekend (June 3/4). As always, Sundays tend to be better for me since I typically work OT on Saturdays (but not always). Why don't we try for that weekend - if I know in advance I can always ask for that Saturday off. Seth, thanks fo rthe offer. I'll let you know when and where, but it won't be til July anyway. Maybe we can do it at midnight when temps are down into the 90s |

Hey Vern, do you have coordinates for the Coke Ovens run? It would be great to plot it out and see exactly where it is. If you can send me an e-mail with the coords that would be great too! I'll e-mail you so you can have my address again. |

I emailed my TOPO file to you, don't know if you can open it. If not I should have a book with some coordinates. I'll check it out and post something. It's fairly straightforward except for some forks right towards the end that have to be navigated properly. |
