Oh man I'm sorry, no KK's.
I'm KIDDING!!! Capital forest is close to Lacey. I know of a few little fun runs there. Mostly service roads, but has occasional obstacles to the side. Let me know if your interested or anybody else.

Hey guys... pretty new to the forum and pretty new to KJ ownership and offroad in general. Can't do much with my jeep right now (at least with my skill set) being completely stock. However I am looking to do some upgrades to it in the future. I do some really light wheeling with it currently when scheduling allows. I look forward to running some trails with you folks in the future.

I am pretty disappointed . I now hang out with the Landrover group. I am the only jeep in the group. They do all kinds of overland trips etc.
I was in Moab with the KJ group in 2007 when i think the group was at its hottest But the NW group never took off . I tried several times getting a group together but responses were weak and not in a timely matter . I still hit lost once in a while but all in all I am pretty disappointed.

On a similar tone:
I am surrounded by liberty jeeps here in central Oregon.. Very seldom to i see one that is modified or even looks like its had any dirt on it. 4x4 shops around here will not even consider doing anything
modified to the liberty which REALLY pisses me off. Everything I want done to my jeep i end up doing which i really do not have the time for. Its really a shame .
sorry for the rant but i just hate the word No or any version of excuse i have heard over the years.

Ok positive stuff:
If anyone wants to come to Bend Oregon/Central oregon for fishing/camping/exploring etc.. Give me a holler.. I am always up for adventures. I just always end up going by myself.
Currently I am down because of that stupid control arm issue and im having to replace those myself with aftermarket ones from old man emu. (ya i cannot find others that are willing to install those)
but after that I am down for what ever.. Tarmacsports@hotmail.com just email me its the best way to reach me.

I was just thinking the same thing. I would love to do some day runs, weekend runs, camping trips, or whatever. But sure seems dead around here.

Roccet - We currently live at the coast (gearhart/seaside) but are in the process of selling our house and are going to move to the bend area. We will be coming over there in the next couple months to check out the area (we have been there a lot but are always looking for an excuse to get over there). Would love to connect with some other offroaders over there. We will be coming over in a modified KJ. Its the wifes so I'm not allowed to break it but would love to see some trails or anything of interest.

I mostly do mild overland explorations now. once in awhile i might do something technical but for the most part i just want to enjoy my jeep and going places others dont travel often to or even can get to . Around here its all about who has the biggest trucks. Well as you know a lifted 4 door F350 diesel lifted 12 inches would rarely see dirt let along go in between trees and tight spots like our jeeps can. Nor will those same guys go up a steep hill and on back untraveled roads just to go fishing in a secluded spot. Well thats pretty much Central oregon.
I just went on a road that had not been traveled on since oh about last summer or so. There is not a ton of technical stuff here in bend but lots of places to go camping and fishing and exploring.
in 5 mins your totally secluded. I was just starting to get the bug again when i had an accident in the jeep this saturday. My ball joint broke and i ended up getting my jeep towed back to my house.
well im still working on it and will be for a few more weeks. But After that im free to do what ever so when i am up and going again i would be happy to show you around.

I hate to say it...
But I find most of the Canadian Vancouver/Metro Vancouver area KJ owners to be a bunch of stuck up A holes here!
I have left notes to invite and ask to go wheeling and I do not even get a reply!
The lifted/modded KJ owners here in the Vancouver/Metro Vancouver area are a bunch
of egotistical dickheads!

That's the mentality up there. I have a 2nd home in Blaine WA. and my experience is they just don't care much or seem to like anyone in the U.S. at least in that area. But they don't have any problems coming into WA. to shop and buy stuff that's much cheaper in the U.S. and bring it back to Canada.

I've told a few liberty owners, but most don't even use it (read: mall jeeps) so yeah. I'm wanted to do one more run this early summer (May-June) if you WA guys are up to it! I have my lift sitting around until I get enough free time, and some skids/sliders....
