Turns out May 5 is the only day I could get off, so the meet and greet is on.

Where: Tahuya State Forest
Map
Information
When: Saturday May 5. I'm open for suggestions on times, I know it's a pretty long drive for most people.

I'll bring a grill and some hamburgers. If you would like something else feel free to bring it.

Looks like a fun trail... I'd like to do it as part of a weekend up there (3.5hrs to get there) maybe later in the summer.

I didn't even know that park was there.
I will have to see what is happening that weekend and get back to you.

Hey there guys,

I don’t know if you all can see this, but I took a trip up that way in November 2010.
Here are some pictures from the trip: https://picasaweb.google.com/111387869127049599946/TahyaNOV2010?authkey=Gv1sRgCJikkbbC8dTBngE#

Toe straps are a must (and frankly a no brainer). There is one particularly sticky section (notice wheel off ground) where you may need some assistance. At the top of that hill there is a bit of a root bog to navigate, and I got hung up at the end of it.

It was over a year, I wish I could remember a bit more to help you know what you’re getting into.
For the most part the trail is Easy to Moderate; I feel that most any Libby will make it through. Beware some of the mud puddles are quite deep, swallowing hoods!

:JEEPIN: ***My Setup***
I ran at 25psi
Climbed every hill (accept the rock garden)
Stock
BF Goodrich TKO
CB
Toe Strap

NOTE: Should you air down, bring a compressor and have some patience. The closest town to get air was something like 5-10 miles. Not very advisable to run aired down on paved roads.

If I remember we all met up at the QFC and rode out together from there.
201 NE State Route 300 Belfair, WA 98528

Hope that helps fellas! Wish I was going with! It’s a fun ride for sure!

Nice pics ArmyKJ! I'll be sure to have some recovery straps with me. Are those mud puddles always around, or do they come and go?

From what i understand it stays fairly wet. I have yet to be there in the summer, the Army puts a damper on that! =D

Is it just Cgass and I next weekend or is anyone else coming along? Where do you want to meet up exactly?

It's looking like it will just be the two of us. Once ArmyKJ gets back hopefully we can put together something that will draw more interest.

How about meeting up at the QFC mentioned earlier? I was looking at the map and it seems to be a logical place.

Also, do you have a compressor? I think I put mine in storage and I haven't had a chance to go hunt for it.

I don't have a compressor. QFC sounds good. There is a thirty minute video of Tahuya on pnwjeep website from last week.

I'll dig out my compressor. Do you know where that video is on the forum?

Edit: I found it. Not on that forum too often.

Good day of wheeling with NW Reign, Blackdiamond130 (from Jeep Forum), and my self. No major problems and pretty decent weather. Pics and a video in the next day or two
