How soon is soon, I am booked through April (I am traveling for work), but I wouldn't mind trying for some time in mid May. Of course I would have to get a kitchen pass, but is pretty doable.

Bummer,

What's the scoop, you get something better? or did you have to economize? I hope you came out well in the trade.

Beasly knob sounds like a good way to break in a new jeep. I would really be shooting for mid may. If not that some of the forest service roads by doraville would cool and mellow. Though, that would take a little more research. I only have a little over a year left in GA and would like to get out and see more of it.

I'm in for Beasley Knob. My "ride to the wall" on memorial day fell through and my daughter is bugging me to go wheeling again....that trip to Durhamtown Plantation got her hooked. Let us know whatever you do.

For folks that have been there before, what's the level of difficulty of the trails and would they be appropriate for a day trip with a toddler in tow? I was thinking of making a trip to Nimblewill Gap (Near Amicalola) for that purpose, but wherever the location, it'd be more fun with a group :)

I've never been there, but I have, as I'm sure you have, looked at some videos on Youtube and some of the trails look do-able. If a group does go I think a winch or two would be handy. It's been dry enough lately so that the trails might not be too muddy. Should be fun.

Remember that the weekend of May 28-30 is Memorial Day weekend and everything will be crowded...including, probably, Beasley Knob. That's actually not such a bad thing as the more people on the trail the more people there are to help get you out of trouble. Unless my plans are changed for me (working on 37 yrs married, ya'll  ) I'm up for Beasley Knob that weekend.
