Alright ... I'm looking to make my jeep look more sleek but still be offroadable, so I've ruled out going with bigger wheels. I'm thinking about having my wheels professionally painted to be black like my renegade. How much would you estimate it would cost to get five wheels professionally painted with automotive quality paint and clearcoated? |

Funny... A friend of mine almost annodized his IROC Camaro rims. I will have to double check, but I think it was going to cost him around 1k to get 4 done. |

annodizing cost ways more than powdercoating. |

True, but my understanding is they both cost about the same amount of money to get done. I never looked into it personally so I only know what others I've talked to have told me. |

I guess you need to find out the cost for prep and paint and add the cost of dismounting/remounting and balancing the old wheels. Then price out some after market wheels to see what the "real" difference is...not including the down time for prep, paint, trips to the tire place, ect. Plus you might be able to sell your old wheels for a bit. ***For powdercoating the tires will have to be taken off. |
