Does anyone know if a throttle body from a 4.7 will fit a 3.7? and is it bigger? could it work? would it help? (with power not mpg) |

I would say it wouldnt. That engine has 8 pistons and would need more air, so Id say is bigger. Just guessing though? ![]() |

The Dodge people have it down again ![]() http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthr ... e+body+3.7 If you're looking for performance everyone at DodgeTalk seems to put a ported throttle body on the 3.7. |

KY, what would be the benefits of using a modded throttle body like this? |

I'm thinking there would be a more linear power curve, from cleaning up the air stream. Maybe a little more power. But I would be intrested if there was a mileage gain. I'm a little hesitent to pull off my TB and send it away... But then I did wait 7+ months for headers that were never going to be made, and spent over $600, (got it back thankfully) |

You don't have to go without your throttle body. You pay for the throttle body, plus a core charge. They ship you the throttle body. If you want your core charge back, you ship them back your throttle body. According to Dan, "Much better throttle response and a nice power gain across the whole driving range." |

Oh okay, kind of like a battery. Hmm... I'll have to think about this one. |

Mine shipped today. I'm going to install it next weekend. I'll let you know what I think. |

I'm curious to see what will happen. Hopefully the intelligent ECU doesn't kick in and compensate and adjust the stoich like it does for the JET chip ![]() |

The upgraded throttle body allows a better flow of air into the motor. The Jet chip lies to the computer to get it to react differently. Very different upgrades, if you consider the chip an upgrade. It dropped 5 peak horsepower on the dyno when we tested it. If you want your computer to work better, you need a B&G flash, not a chip. |

Are you planning to add larger fuel injectors with the TB? |

I'm playing with the idea of going to some larger injectors, but I don't have headers yet. I didn't want to do them until I had the headers to help scavenge the exhaust. |

Do you know by any chance the cc/minute that our stock injectors give? And what cc/minute injectors will you upgrade to? |

The stock injectors are rated at 24 lbs/hr at 49 psi. I want the throttle body, cams, and headers first because they will change things. It depends on what the air/fuel ratios look like to determine if I want to do anything with the injectors. If I just need a small adujstment, I'll have B&G adjust the custom ECU and run it off the stock computer while they have it. |

The Fastman throttle body is well worth the money. It improves the throttle response and provides a nice power gain. The install takes about 30 minutes and is pretty simple. |
