Well folks, I sold 2 of my projects and I am able to keep my KJ now!!! Yeah!!! But I'm tired of my bags and a friend of mine is buying them off of me so I am looking for a slightly used 7up kit or one that someone bought but never installed and is willing to sell it cheap to me or another lift that i can fit atleast 33s on. Just let me know and thanks for any help or comments if anyone has a better idea.

Thanks,
Thomas

You should read the thread by fireblad1 on the 7-up kit in the 4x4 section, and then form your own opinion.

I think he's doing a show truck up like his other vehicles- might not need it for offroading!

Calvin56 is correct, I am building it just for show. I know the kit's performance sucks I've seen it in action but it does look sweet with the 4link and the major wheel travel though. Besides I can still do light offroading and urban offroading over trash cans and mailboxes!!!! :D

Call me crazy, but I would totally go with an air over spring suspension and be stupid tall. with the 2600's you could go up to about a 7 inch lift aired up.

Your KJ is 2wd, right? Forget the 7up, be original and have a custom "Baja" style long travel IFS built for it! You're in Cali, I know there are plenty of places out there where you can go dune driving.

KjRenny and Freedom Kj, thank you for your input and great ideas unfortunately onelowliberty isn't mine anymore and the new owner wanted me to have everything put back to stock or get a 2.5" lift for it. Thanks again for the advice and despite not owning a KJ anymore I will still hang around this forum and continue to help people and ask one stupid question after another.

Sorry to hear that you sold it. I actually thought it was cool. Not what I would have done but none the less pretty sweet ride. Hope you buy another KJ sometime. Good luck with your projects in the future.

Thank you Neatus for the kind words. Don't worry though I'm not leaving the jeep scene completely. Right now I'm trying to pick up a 1998 XJ 4WD that has an eleven inch rock crawling kit built out of skyjacker, clayton, and terra flex components, and it rides on 37 inch Goodyear MTRs. It would be a nice jeep to pick up because then I can actually go offroading with those of you who live in the socal area. Take care and i'll keep everyone updated on my situation.

sorry to hear the news on you selling your KJ. Yours is/was possibly the most unique KJ around. Hope the XJ deal comes through for you.
