I haven't heard of a specific one with those abilities - but I have been thinking about getting a replacement for my stock one since it's been 4+ years now. |

Won't do anything unless you can program the fan to come on at the lower temperature. On my Corvette it was worth a dyno proven 12 horsepower.Probably good for 5 hp on this engine. It is not difficult to modify the stock thermostat to open at a lower temp.A simple spacer in the 1/8" range will lower opening temp approx. 20 degrees. To make your own fan controller would take a wiring diagram and a few dollars worth of stuff from radio shack. |

A new thermostat can be had at almost any auto parts store, there at least four different manufacturers, they all are set for 195 degrees, was unable to locate one set for a lower temp .

Jet sold lower temp stats, they were required to get full benifit from thier chips, don't know if they make one for us. I was told that 195 was needed for the emissions equipment, a lower temp could throw a cell, anyone else heard this? |

Does the NMCP Heavy Duty Engine Cooling option come with a lower temp thermostat? I heard that it does, but have not been able to verify it. |
