As posted, I'm looking for at least a class III hitch for this trailer that my wife and I have just put a deposit on:

I have found this hitch locally for $235 with everything but the brake setup wiring included.
Or the drawtite class IV hitch looks like it would be a better direction for me, even for a bit more coin...

Does anyone have any suggestions, will this be a good hitch allowing enough clearence for wheeling? I hope to go to Moab in april...
Thanks
-Mark

How much was the Wal-mart one?

Would you call it safer than any of the other branded ones?

Check out Jparts.com for the stock Mopar hitch and wiring. That would be the best way to go. :)

I bought this one.

http://www.etrailer.com/productdetail.a ... om=2007&h=

The main reason is because the hitch extends out past the bumper about 3 inches. That makes tremendous difference when you consider that the spare tire sits directly over it. Makes it easier to access, and allows you to use different racks without an extension. I ordered that and the wiring harness and did all the work myself. Was actually pretty easy, but scary at first taking the lights off the vehicle.

And for the price you can order it from etrailer with the wiring and shipping for less than the local place. Trust me, the hitch is the easiest modification you'll ever make to a liberty.
