i was installing my intake today and when i turned my car on i noticed that the electric fan was not running at all so i was wondering if theres a certain temperature that it kicks in or what?

Yes there is a certain temp it kicks on. Mine comes on after i've been idling for a while or sitting in traffic. Should automaticaly come on when you turn the a/c on.
