I have seen on other sites like cardomain that guys have "tinted the tail light lens" what exactly are they doing to do this?

thanks Tom. Did you do both the front and rear on yours? Do you have a pic of the end result? I was thinking of doing this to the rear and turn sigs. and maybe the front lens depending on how it looks.
