Well - from my standpoint - I was thinking of making your own - I mean the standard lifts are 2 1/2"
so you might be able to do something like OME springs with a Daystar lift
(compressing the springs enough to assemble the strut might be a serious challenge)

or a swmpthg - and stack an OTT lift on top of a regular lift (Warning any OTT needs bumpstops extended - they kill struts)
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=24761&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Actually any attempt to stack lifts probably needs the bumpstops extended (tom would say any lift - and he might be right)
extend bumpstop

Daystar's are fine on road or off
a little stiffer than stock -
you're taking the front springs and preloading them by about an inch of compression -
so you might notice it - but it's not a huge change from the stock ride.

as soon as i put the lift on i was like wow the steering is really touchy which is the way i like it. little bit more stiffer but gets the job done. putting on the bfg ko tires i felt a little difference in acceleration and very little in breaking.

It depends on your mechanical ability.
The rear is easy, but the front requires you to remove the struts and disassemble/reassemble them.
Folks that are good take about 3 hours for the whole thing - I took the entire weekend - I had to take the front struts to a tire shop to get the CRD springs compressed (410lbs/inch - killed my cheapie spring compressors)
http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=26190

and I got mine from All-J's - maybe a little more expensive - but you can talk to them and they know KJ's.

i would have to agree it took me a total of 8 hours to complete by myself even with an auto hobby shop full of toys. compact gun made things easy for the most part. i would suggest that when you take out the front assembly borrow a buddys car and get the spacers put in for you... saves you lots of time and effort. oh and a racheting strap is your best friend. just remember to look for extra bolts cause you could forget something real important. *cough* (stupid front sway bar bolt) *cough*
