Make sure it really is a cold air intake. Meaning that the air filter has a housing (like the stock one). Because then it would suck all the hot air from the engine, which would make it a HOT air intake.

umm....didn't you just post a thread on the same basic subject? :? http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=35110

Make you own CAI. Add a duct from the grill area back to the stock air box (search gutter mod) and a nice drop-in air filter like an Amsoil Ea series (EaA201) and you will have a nice flowing, cold air intake for Cheap and it will be protected from underhood heat.

We're trying to help you out. It sounds like you're planning on throwing away $200.

If you look at the design of the so called Cold Air Intake it sits inside the engine compartment so I call it Hot Air intake, it does absolutly nothing for the KJ leave your air intake right where it is Above Sea Level. :) Really man its up to you but its a waste of $$$$, the only way a Cold Air intake works is with NOS and CO2 assist or with CO2 assist (injection) and Inter cooler. It gets more complex than this , but I will leave it at that.
