You would actually be better off simply putting in a good drop in filter. An upgraded throttle body will help too. If you go with a "cold air" intake you will need to do the $4 gutter pipe mod, or a hood to benefit over a good drop in. The install of the drop in will take a couple minutes. As stated above, the "cold air" install should take you less than 30 minutes and is pretty easy. The piggy back chips are a joke. Unlike the manufacturer of them, I actually dyno'd the stage 1 with the 3.7 in a KJ. It made 5 peak hp less than stock. If you want to get more out of the 3.7 from programming, you need a B&G flash. It actually made a big difference on the dyno.

Don't waste your money or time on a "CAI". Unless you are drawing the air in from a cooler than underhood source you are Not getting cold air. The factory air box flows more than needed for a 3.7L and draws it in from under the hoods edge where air is cooler than underhood. Drop a $45 Amsoil Ea series air filter in the stock box and move on to other mods that work. Several have used the "gutter" mod to draw even more cool air into the stock box from the grill area. Search for "gutter" and it should bring up some posts on the subject. Keeping the stock air box will also allow you to keep the water fording capabilities of the factory setup.

They actually reprogram your engine computer instead of lieing to it by using a chip to change information from sensors.
