I've been wanting to put a new muffler on the KJ now that I finally got the lift one. I just want something that gives it some growl.....not something that makes it sound like a pissed off 5hp Briggs and Stratton. What mufflers is everybody running? Thanks

I got it for the off road ready factor and not the sound. The sound was a bonus.

Look up Thrush Mufflers, enexpensive.

You'll need 2.50'' Offset Inlet/ Center Outlet

How much cheaper are the flopro and the thrush than the flowmaster? I am a broke college kid so I'm looking for the best deal, haha.

Don't expect it to stay all pretty and black like that. At least it didn't for me with all the road salt in Michigan. You're most likely not have a problem with that living in Reno.

And that is exactly why I am going to get one sometime soon.

Yeah didn't think of that, but that won't deter me. I'll have to spray on a protectant.

The Thrush Turbo muffler is about $20-$25 at Advance Auto Parts stores, the Flowmaster 44 is over $100.

Plus it doesn't matter the Flowmaster 44 will crush just as easy as any muffler if bashed on a rock, that fancy diamond plate is no stronger then what others are made out off(just costs more).Better to get a cheap one so your not out to much when you do crush it,I learned this the hard way to the tune of $600(had the Borla catback on).

^^^^^ Nope^^^^^

It is way tougher. Yes it costs more, around $100 now, I got it for around $85 or so, but it is worth the extra cash. I drug it, smashed it and crunched it on the boulders out on Slick Rock trail a few weeks ago and not even a dent. Yes it isn't as pretty as it was, scrapes and what not, but not dents or anything. I know a regular muffler wouldn't have faired so well.

I think we use sand instead of salt in the winters here in Reno. So yeah, I am not concerned about that but like Crossbones said, spray on protection.

$89.95 @ JEGS.

Summit Racing had them ( same price) last time I looked, but now they're not showing it? Must be out of stock?

Aero turbine exhaust. http://www.aeroexhaust.com/

i know, the thing looks like a cheap tuner mod but it's not. Had mine for two years now. Love the sound, did see performance gain, and the thing is bullet proof (solid and i mean solid). Hit hard enough you'll dent even your skidplates. Still 2 seasons of pretty good wheelin' produced plenty of scrapes, no dents.

Call installers on the pricing. Got mine for $130 installed even though the price on their site was $190.

MP Jeeper, what model is your Aero and how tall and wide is it? I was thinking the areo was pretty tall, meaning that it hung lower and decreased clearance. True or False?
