Out of curiosity...is that a KJ standard or has it varied over the years?

I had a pair of Flo Pros on my 79 camaro, granted I was pushing 300 hp, but they sounded sooooo much better than slowmasters even though they were made the same. I had a flomaster on my 4.3L astro and it acutally sounded decent, not too ricey, just removed a flow 40 from my dad's V8 chevy pickup, wwaaaayyyy too much interior noise, replaced it with cheapy Thrush Trubo II, almost as loud, but no interior noise, plus it was only $30. not sure how any would sound on the 3.7 Libby, but I prefer the cheapy Thrush or if I'm spending the money, I would buy a Magnaflow. just my $.05 and personal opinion.

It is way tougher. Yes it costs more, around $100 now, I got it for around $85 or so, but it is worth the extra cash. I drug it, smashed it and crunched it on the boulders out on Slick Rock trail a few weeks ago and not even a dent. Yes it isn't as pretty as it was, scrapes and what not, but not dents or anything. I know a regular muffler wouldn't have faired so well.

I think we use sand instead of salt in the winters here in Reno. So yeah, I am not concerned about that but like Crossbones said, spray on protection.

yeah, I had heard that they were much stronger and heavier as a result. Sounds real good too. When my stock one goes that is the one I will get.

i have a flowmaster 50 and it has been an absolute tank... bashed it off a lot of rocks and it's still in perfect form (minus a few scratches). it has paid for its self several times. it was 79.95 from rusty's off-road

i know, the thing looks like a cheap tuner mod but it's not. Had mine for two years now. Love the sound, did see performance gain, and the thing is bullet proof (solid and i mean solid). Hit hard enough you'll dent even your skidplates. Still 2 seasons of pretty good wheelin' produced plenty of scrapes, no dents.

MP Jeeper, what model is your Aero and how tall and wide is it? I was thinking the areo was pretty tall, meaning that it hung lower and decreased clearance. True or False?

I'll just quote both of you...

I have my 2525, love the sound over a flowmaster/magnaflow. To me, those to are high pitched and raspy, at least on most videos. Mines been hit hard too, no dents. MAYBE a peformance gain.. but only when up above ~2500. Maybe a slight low end drop off. It's 6 inches tall. So yes slightly reduces clearance, however you can mount it further back towards the axle. Winters on cold starts she really gumbles, how that it's summer it's about where i like it. Mine idles really low and grunty, has a loud spot around 1500, then at 60 quiets out to being very comfortable.
