I would like to hear sound clips of aftermarket mufflers on the Libertys.

Preferable flowmaster and magnaflow, but any and all louder exhaust clips would be great

thanks

You can find a few video and sound clips on the Jeep KJ Country forum:

http://jeepkj.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=19

Note that hearing sound clips off your speakers is much different than real life.

I hear Magnaflows are the loudest if that is what you are looking for.

Just get a flowmaster 40 series with a 2 chamber system that flows from the catalytic converter back and then have the tip dump 3 inches after the muffler. It will be loud enough for the KJ having 2 pre cats and one main cat because the sounds will hit the ground and come up bellowing underneath the body giving you an impressively deep sound that will make heads turn.

Tell me how to record it and I will post a clip of the Flowmaster 40 on my KJ.

The muffler is louder than most thought the 3.7 could get but it is exactly what I was wanting. I just went to my cousin's the other night and he came running out because he didn't know who was there. He said it sounded like a big v8 when I pulled in. It got louder when I switched to Castrol synthetic as well.

If they make headers I would put them on but it would be insanely loud I think. If it's too loud, you are too old.

Loud pipes save lives!

tonight I will post up my DynoMax straight through. I just replaced the stock muff with this one, like 65$ at auto zone. http://www.dynomax.com/ultrafloweld.stm. When you start up the jeep, it sounds exactly like my friends TA stock. very nice sound and rumble. nothing like a V6!

and just a side note... when you nutral rev it, at 4,500 it cuts out. What cuts the ignition or the injectors?

I just had a Magnaflow 12226 installed and it's loud. Actually it is so loud that I am going to switch to a 12586. If someone is looking for a cheap Magnaflow 12226 PM me, I will even make some sound clips if you are interested.

I tried to make a clip with my Sony TRV25... I was standing like 15 feet away and it was still so loud that it distorted the mic. I will figure something else out and see what I can do.

later
