Ok what if any benefits would I get if I can with a Dana 44 Rear would this even fit the KJ?? dana 44 rear for jeep wrangler, ( yj or tj) all cjs and box cherokees- brand new 4:56 gears and rear locked ( welded) it does not have perches on it or brakes that's what the guy said about it...

No benefits gained,just a empty wallet.The 8.25 is the same strength as the D44 just the 8.25 is a C-clip axle and the D44 is not.You'd have to do alot of custom fab to put the D44(XJ or TJ) on the back of the KJ like weld new mounts,fab up a upper tri-link attachment,replace t-case to have a working speedo,and so on and so on.

Not only what tjkj said but also since its been Lincoln locked then no driving it on the street, only on back roads, they welded the gears together for a cheap locker but it owuld not be street friendly AT ALL

yes but they were built for the Libertys, ( mounts, brackets etc. ) to make one work here would really not be worth the $$$$ or effort, not gaining anything at all really unless you want to impress unknowing friends :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

It would be about at least another $3000-$4000 to make it work.Just regear your 8.25 and install a locker for about $1000.
