The Durango's V6 Magnum gets 210hp @ 5200rpm and 235 ft-lb torque @ 4000rpm. The V6 in the Liberty's spec out exactly the same. Is there any difference between the two? OR does Dodge just tack on 'Magnum' to attract those buyers with really small penises?

I believe it is the same. The 3.7 in the Ram's and Dakota's is the same one that is used in the KJs. Jeep calls it a power tech, Dodge calls it a Magnum, go figure.

It's identical, thats how big corporations make money, by using as many off the shelf parts to save on R&D.

Long time Dodge Ram owner here I was curious about this same thing and am very well informed through my fellow Tech friends at the dealer. They told me that jeep always gets the newest engines designed put in them and after a couple of years of real world testing they then put them in the dodge vehicles. SAME ENGINES. thats the inside scoop.

Nice to see everything listed in one place. I went ahead and added the few cars Mercedes had with the 3.7L V6. As far as parts go, I think it is the engine not the model that people just havn't started making parts for. I've looked for Ram & Dakota parts but haven't had anymore luck than I've had looking for Liberty parts. Even checked out a couple of forums and they seem to have the same problems finding stuff that we do.

The 2007 Wranger will have the 3.7L V6 as well. I'll be we'll start seeing some parts then.

The 2007 Wrangler will have the 3.8 V6 from the minivans due to production limitations of the 3.7...

Don't those Mercs use a 3.5 V6 instead of a 3.7?

The MB's use the 3.5L's now, but they did at one point have the 3.7L's. I was at the dealership getting some work done on monday and tried to tell the head mechanic that the Wrangler's were going to come out with the 3.8L, but he said they were going with the 3.7L, that was just a myth.

We catch crap for our grocery hooks, wonder how much they'll catch for their minivan engine?

Want to add 5HP to your 3.7 Litre Gasoline Engine? Increase from 210HP to 215HP in mere seconds!

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chrysler_PowerTech_engine&diff=10197448&oldid=8858859

Not sure who edited that or why, but it says we have 215HP. I want to change it back to 210, but I imagine it got changed for a reason....just not sure what that reason was
