This is not as clean of an install but no wiring required and stock radio. The DLO is awsome, tons of power, very good music quality. It will step on any of the local radio stations, thats how powerful it it, also charges the Ipod.

They are actually terry cloth seat covers, and as you can see I get them dirty. They are easy to wash.

Too bad you don't have a 2006.

Chrysler added integrated iPod/mp3 players to the 2006 models.
Actually, I'm not sure if it is for the Liberty, but I saw it on the new Caliber. Slides right into a pocket in the arm rest and if you have steering wheel controls, they work with the iPod.

RipTide7, the head unit was $349 (canadian). It is iPod and Sattelite radio ready, so I just had to get an iPod car adapter, which was $249 (canadian). I'm getting new speakers installed next week to complete the audio setup.

A 2006 with an integrated iPod/MP3 player with controls behind the wheel would be sweet. My head unit has become the controls for the iPod, so I'm able to control it all from there, while the iPod sits in the glove compartment.

I have the USA SPEC PA11CHR from Crutchfield connected to the CD changer input of my factory AM/FM/CD player radio. The cable to the iPod can lead to the center console or to a dash mount. The iPod is controlled through the CD changer controls on the radio selecting playlists and tracks. I am pleased with it.
