Okay so I just got my lift kit. It's a RoughCountry 3 inch kit. It came with 2 rear shocks 2 rear springs and 2 spacers for the front. It's going to be put on my 06 sport 4x2. Is there anything else I need before install? Also should I do it myself or take it to a shop? Thanks |

probably be wise to secure transportation and take the front coil assembly to be reassembled with the spacers at a shop other than that, pretty easy stuff |

Okay so with the lack of response and the few reviews I found for rough country kits and for the fact that my local 4x4 shop won't install or sell this kit; I sent it back. So now I just purchased a DayStar 2.5 inch kit with rear Rancho RS5000 shocks. Should be delivered by next Friday! Will post pics once installed. A few questions: how is the handeling with this kit?, any problems I should be aware of?, any lose of MPG's?, how is the overall ride? Thanks |

with the daystar (or any lift) you'll lose a few mpg due to the lift and more air turbulence under/around the v ehicle, but no more so than any other lift ride quality tends to be harsher, coil life tends to be shorter Not sure why they wouldn't install the rough country but would be willing to install the daystar.. pretty much the exact same install steps required throughout.. (tried to say due to the V word that means a car.. but it got turned into an advertisement link.. which I find really annoying btw..) |

You are going to replace all 4 shocks as well aren't you? The rear you have to and the fronts you may as well since you have it apart and the stockers are junk. X's 2 on the bumpstops as well! It will make it last a little longer read the recent posts from long_tall_texan regarding Daystars etc |

Yes I will be replacing the rear shocks with Rancho RS5000. Money is a little tight due to this great economy. But I will will replace the front as soon as I can. What would be the best shocks for the front? Also I couldn't find that post. |

Just wondering if the 2.5inch daystar kit can work with the OME Med. Duty springs? |

It's all good.. I love my kit I had to take it off and 4x4 shops wont do it usually I just found me a mechanic that works on suspensions only and he did it for $150 |
