| Post subject: | Bottle Jack question?? |
Okay so now that the Libby is lifted and has some 30's on it, the factory Jack won't work. Just wondering what bottle Jack I should get, or I guess what should be the max lift of the bottle Jack? I was looking at one that has a max lift of 21 1/2inches; would that work, or do I need one that goes higher? Also where is a good Jack point for the front and rear for the bottle Jack? If anyone could help me out; that would be great! Going on a trip next weekend, and I'd like to purchase one ASAP!! Thanks! |

All I can tell you is a 12 ton bottle jack from Harbor Freight works fine on my Libby. It has 2-1/2" lift with 31's. |

I keep the Hi-lift offroad base under the back seat - it works fine as a spacer for bottle or scissors jack.

http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive ... 66480.html This says 16" Heck now that I think about it I rotated my tires one time during a very long road trip with the stock jack and the bottle jack. I don't remember having to put anything under the stock jack but it was a couple years back. |

I carry a 2ton floor jack, works well, gets handle back where I don't need to be in under the Jeep. |

Thanks for the info, I just picked up a Big Red 12 ton double ram bottle Jack from my local northern tool shop. Works great!! Min. Lift is 9" and max lift is 23 11/16". I would suggest this a a perfect Jack!! Doesn't really fit under the back seat but, it does the job!! |

I just put a piece of 4x4 lumber and a square of 3/4 inch exterior plywood. After my lift I didn't have these when I stuck a 1 inch stick through the sidewall of a stock SRA. I used flat rocks to get me high enough. |
