Hi all. I'm prepping the liberty to make a run from Reno up to Seattle (almost 800 miles one way) and back within about a 5 day period to pick up a boat. It's just a 16' jon boat, and all told, probably weighs less than 1500lbs with trailer. I installed a class III hitch myself and did the T-connector wiring harness.
My jeep's an '06 with the automatic.

Is there anything specific I should do to prep for the tow? I'll air the tires up a bit and probably change the oil.

the liberty is fairly self explanetary... gas, lube oil,tires..... and If this isn't too late... bring a spare tire for the boat trailor... tire iron and jack... lube the trailor axle before you embark on a trip..... oh yeah... and bring the fishing poles to test the boat out.... :D

I've got 55k miles on the jeep, so I did some preventative maintenance yesterday. Changed the Spark Plugs, switched to synthetic oil, and got diff fluid for the front and rear. Today I'll do the diffs and clean the interior.
