Sounds great, no droning on the road like a Flowmaster, just a nice tone

That is what I wanted to hear. That is what has kept me from adding a muffler to this point.

not the best video it was a little too close to the pipe and it was a cold start never rev'd above 2700 RPM's

Post subject:  Re: magnaflow muffler

that is the exact one im looking at. did either of you use a turn down after the muffler or just weld it to your existing pipe?

yes i'm interested in a part number and cost? sounds good and i need a little more power any cons? saw another post that said a flowmaster isn't good for gasers...i'm sure opinions will vary too, but this one sounds good!

glad I could help
I was a die hard flowmaster fan before installing a magnaflow on the wifes saab turbo
after I heard that thing run OHHHHHH I had to have one
I wanted a louder muffler so I went with the canister looking one
also the only aftermarket exhaust I could find for a jeep was a magnaflow
I get all sorts of comments on how good it idles
only con is that i wish it was a stick shift so I could "control" the sound a little more

im to spoiled with my automatic so thats no con to me. im glad to hear that you converted to a magnaflow from a flowmaster because of sound. most flowmaster fans dont like the sound of magnaflows from what ive seen around forums. sorry for all the questions but did you clamp the muffler in or weld it? the whole muffler things still a new beast to me.

Troy, do you have a link to the video you had posted previously? The one I found was down. I want to hear what yours sounded like.

The only difference I can see from your part number to the one posted above is length of the muffler. And I assume the longer the quieter.

What is the difference sound wise between the 4" rounds mufflers and the larger diameter round mufflers?

How did you like the sound of the Magnaflow on yours?

i cut my stock muffler off and went to a friends house to weld on the magnaflow .....its ugly the only welder i could get was a 120v flux core without gas
it works but it is ugly ..........the only change to mu exhaust system it the tip that i had turned to the side cause when i hauled plastic bens on my hitch basket they melted on the passanger side
