So I tested temps under the hood. Conditions: 86F

Test 1 - Sitting in driveway in sun no fan on full engine temp

3FT from jeep outside temp - 86F
Intake area blocked off - 135F
Engine bay area 6in from intake area - 152F

Test 2 - Driving 25MPH with test lead in blocked off intake area

Intake area blocked off - 87-91F

Seems the barrier that comes with my K and N FIPK works. With zero airflow the difference is 17 degrees and while driving only 25MPH the temp is at or slightly above the outside air. Effective? Yessir! :JEEPIN:
