Is welding on the muffler necessary to my kj? or will just clamping do the job?

Either will work. There have been complaints with clamped mufflers about a vibrating noise though

No need to weld it on, it will just complicate matters later... just use clamps...

I personally hate clamps, and will always recomend welding. Clamps work but can also let mositure in and help rot the system faster. Just my $.02
