Would it be possible to swap in a 4.3 L V6 chevy engine into the Liberty? Both it and the 3.7 are 90 degree V6's. any thoughts?

Umm you might want to get a hold of KJWildman he swapped a 302 ford V-8 into one or is in the process. So i guess yes it can be done but there are alot of factors like which transmission to use. Or can the transmission be used that is already in the KJ with a bell housing adapter. New motor mounts all the electronics to work out or cables which ever way you decide to go.

Check your local laws 1st to see if it's even legal to do.The engine must be the same year or newer as the vehicle it's going into and all emission stuff must be used also, more so where you have emission tests and inspections.

Not saying it can't be done, not a easy swap.

Love the GM V6 4.3L, one of the best engines IMHO. One of the main problems I see is that the distributor is located in the rear, which may cause clearance issues with the firewall.

The GM 4.3L actually seems a bit smaller than the 3.7L, I would use the factory Trans and T-case connected to the 4.3 out of the Blazer or S-10 it was pulled from. You would be building an entirely new gauge setup tho, I like the idea of this swap and if I was in a pinch for a motor I would also swap one in even tho ideally I'd have a 6.0L fuelly chev going in there.

Easy enough to do with a firewall knock out if needed.
