:banghead: Okay so the other day my liberty started up but i felt like it was in a bad mood. Drove about 3 miles and stopped for gas. Once i tried to turn it on it just went CLICK CLICK CLICK. I new something was wrong. Had someone jump it and everything was fine; but just in-case i ran over to my local good year. they tested everything and my battery was completely drained. The problem is that now, every time i come to a complete stop or slow roll in neutral or in gear the RMP's drop to 0 and the engine cuts off. I feel like this is going to be a big issue but someone please tell me that all these rumors about dead batteries cause the computer to reset and it has to relearn the idle timing is true... If this is true how long does it take to relearn. I've driven almost 40 miles with this problem and I fell like I'm causing more damage by turning on my car 30 times a day... :banghead:

Did you replace the battery? I bet if you replace the Battery your problems will go away. Never heard of the relearn.

Yeah, I put in a brand new battery. Just got off the phone with Chrysler and they said the computer has to relearn the idle. Stupid jeep.

Hmm. Never had that problem on mine but I have never had one that new. I have had a 02,03,04.

The tech at Chrysler said it only happens if the battery is completely dead or if it is taken out of the jeep longer than 24 hours. But he said just get on the highway and put some miles on it. So hopefully this will work.
