I have recently been informed of a safety recall for Liberty KJ models, which is the replacement of the trailing arms on the rear suspension. Apparently, the original arms rust out and weaken prematurely due to the "U" shaped profile of the arm. The new ones are supposed to be an enclosed design, (like a "D" shape, I imagine), to help combat corrosion and are stronger to begin with.
This recall affects Liberty KJ models in Canada, how about the U.S.? Are there any aftermarket trailing arms available that are even better, or even upgraded bushings that I can install into the replacement L-27 recall arms?
