Ok my baby needs a new engine, so, how much would it generally cost to drop one in? I've got an 03 with 160k miles and I have a bad oil leak somewhere.

Why not just find the oil leak and fix it?

We fixed the leak but another one popped up n dad said they'd have to drop my engine to get it and then it may not last bc my jeeps been run very hard n has had other engine issues. New engine=keeping my KJ n not haveing to purchase another vehicle.

You sound like me. But I'm pulling the engine and rebuilding mine. Unless I can find a good price on a reman or rebuilt.

Still pricing it out but I found a master rebuild kit from rock auto for 900. And several other kits for 700. But that's just for parts. I have my father in-law helping me rebuild it so I don't have labor to pay. Let me know if you find any good prices for a rebuilt engine.
