I cant seem to find any posts about adding the radiator as extra cooling/ temp stabilization
for the trans oil. My kj came with the radiator without trans cooling but with a stand alone trans
cooler in front of the rad. I've installed the radiator with trans cooling and was wondering if it
matters which way oil flows into/out of the stock cooler in front of the rad.
From what I understand oil comes from trans to the upper input in radiator- then out the lower
output and then into the stand alone cooler.
But how can you tell which lines coming out of the tranny are hot or cooled?

Well i don't know how much this will help, but the outlet from the trans comes from higher and closer to the front of the trans. Hot goes to the top port and exits the bottom. It used to be done this way because of the direction the cooler coils were stacked and hooking up backwards pushed heat towards the lines carrying cooled fluid and diminished the coolers efficiency. Whether that's still true i don't know.
On a single plane cooler like most power steering coolers it makes no difference because it's just vanes set across a single loop and there is no over lap circulation.

The hot side will also spew everywhere if there's doubt, run some out ;)

thought about this myself . Did you go to rad first then cooler or cooler? Would it make a difference? Did you make lines or find adapters?

go through the radiator first. then the cooler, then back to the trans.
