Was doing some research and found that people were swapping the DBW (drive by wire) throttle bodies from a 4.7 over onto the 3.7 V6 that our KJs have.

The issue is that the KJ that I have is a drive by cable. If I were to grab a throttle off of a 4.7 that is also a drive by cable... would that bolt up?

I'm finding the 4.7 drive by cable throttle bodies for around $20 on ebay. IF this works, this could be a quick easy mod to get some better response.

02-06 drive by wire 4.7 with the molded plastic cable rocker work on the KJs. the ones with the all metal rocker do not

Thanks!

Guess it's either Fastman or HiPoTek bore out.

I found that it did not work...
It doesn't bolt up to my 2002, the OD of the throttle body is bigger than the stock, so the stock intake hose won't work. I think that can be fixed by using the 04+ intake tube though....
My findings:

But if you want to give it a shot. I have a cable 4.7 throttle body you can have for what I paid. Let me know.

Was that the only thing that didn't work was the inlet to the throttle body being too big for the stock airbox tube?

If so, the Mopar CAI or K&N CAI (or cheap ebay variants) with a silicone reducing coupling should solve that right?

Either that or use AirRaid's "build your own" intake tube system.

Or do you mean that it wouldn't even bolt in and the wires wouldn't plug in?
