| Post subject: | Hypertech error 6F- unable to read VIN |
So I have a Hypertech Max Energy with the most up-to-date software and I am still getting a 6F code. My PCM has been flashed twice so I am guessing this is why the unit cannot read the VIN. Unfortunately, Hypertech has not been helpful at all and continues to say that for $220 they can fix the programming. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out a solution? I have already tried to remove fuses with no luck- I have an aftermarket radio with Bluetooth. I know that the unit does work as I tried it out on a friend's 05 Liberty that has not had any PCM updates and it did not give the 6F error. I have searched this forum as well as others and have not found anything helpful. |
