Ok, so i've looked at the frankenlift and it says a 2.5 lift, I wrote down everything that came with it and from what I could tell Jeepin By Al has the same kit for $750. It just didnt have bumpstops and strut top plates, but it said that it was a 1.5 lift. So do bump stops and top strut plates really make that much of a difference? Hopefully someone can clarify this for me. This is the kit that I am comparing to the Frankenlift.

First of all, welcome to LOST. Personally, I went with the full OME suspension lift with the bumpstops and strut top plates. It definitely rides a lot better. I haven't gotten new upper control arms yet because mine were in good condition. From what I have been told, you should spend the extra bucks for bumpstops so you won't have to spend another few hundred when something happens to your suspension. I think total with everything it was around $850-$900 from jeepinbyal but it was definitely worth it.

The front strut assembly for a Frankenlift uses a Daystar lower spring iso and a modified top plate. The lower iso is way thicker than a stock one and the top plate moves the mounting flange further up making the entire assembly longer than a stock one. That's how they get the extra bit of lift. I used Boiler's shims up top and a couple of conduit nuts on the bottom to get about the same thing. My front fender to hub is about 22 1/2 inches. Way more than stock and way way more than a clapped out stock suspension.

the daystar spacer is 1.5 inhes...not 2.5, so its a custom daystar spacer, not the one u can buy normally

Thanks for the tip on sierra expeditions. They have a great site. I'm gonna call because I think they might be out of the kj lift, but thats not a big deal because I can wait. Over a hundred dollar difference so I'm excited. I think I'm also gonna get some teraflex front bumpstops but I don't know what to get for the back. Any suggestions would be great. And I'm guessing thats all I need. So I'd just like to say thanks for all the help. You guys have given me some great advice.

for the back, get the HD OME coils for the rear and an extra iso pad for the rear from JBA

If you ment for the bump stops most people use 2 hockey pucks glued or screwed together then do the same to secure them to the base plate inside your spring. Or i think daystar makes and extended bumpstop for the rear. I am going the hockey puck route with OME all the way around and boiler top plates up front and an extra 2 rear upper iso and one lower iso per side in the rear. This should leave everything nicely and put me on part with the Frankenlift.
