Finally I have been granted membership status! I have been trying to get my user name activated since the spring but only was able to get it to work when I tired for the 5th time just recently. Anyway, we bought a 2006 liberty this past summer to be a light/moderate wheeler and winter family vehicle, and hauling stuff in a smaller trailer (either gravel or the occasional elk). It's a '06 we got with 48k miles. It replaces my 1999 ranger (small lift, 31's) which I loved but needed a 4 door since we have a 2 year old and 2 dogs. Current other vehicles are a '08 Prius, and a 1969 VW bug convertible. Prior to that I had a 1999 C5 Corvette which I used to road race but traded in when our boy was on the way. Other previous vehicles of interest are 3 jeep Cherokees, a 1968 Unimog, '85 4runner, and '72 Land Cruiser (FJ55). I am a mechanical engineer so I am not intimidated by good projects. Upgrades so far are a trailer hitch, a 3" lift, and 245 75 16 Goodyear dura tracks. I got som pics of my lift I'll upload with the full details soon. For the front I put on OME Medium rate front lift coils along with new Rancho struts a clevis lift and some washers on top plate. I also put on a set of JBA Gen 4.5 A-arms so I didn't need to wory about UBA. For the rear I put on Skyjacker springs and shocks . I made my own brake line relocation brackets and along with bump stop extensions. I also put on two old Yakima basket case racks that came off our old Cherokee that was rolled but they straightened out ok. I also working on a set of rock rails and might ad a snorkel at some point seeing as I have already had water over the hood doing Argentine pass. I am in Parker Colorado so if anyone wants to get up in the hills for a trail ride just PM me, Kerry |

It's silver. Here are some pics of the first weekend we got it when we went to Argentine pass. I quickly realized I needed a lift a bigger tires but real damage. ![]() Here is a lifted disco crossing the stream below argentine pass right after we had water over the hood. ![]() ![]() And here is the rear shelf I put into the rear cargo area which I have found to be the most useful mod so far. ![]() It's great becasue the the dogs can sit ontop and still have room for plenty of gear underneath and take it out when I don't want it. I have some more pics somewhere else that I will get around to posting. |

Hi there.. just stumbled upon your post. Glad to know I'm not alone in Denver. I'm a new ('06) crd owner in Highlands Ranch. Putting on a lift TOMORROW! Wish me luck. I'll post pics when done. |
