First off, Hello everyone!! I am a proud new owner of a 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport (4x2) i know, i know, imma get doo doo for going with RWD My intro is going to be pretty long, so if you don't want to read it, you don't have to. I come from the other end of the spectrum in the car world (sport compacts) Back in 2003 (when i graduated high school) i picked up a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon. Over the 4 years I owned it, I threw away/invested about 15k$ into the car (joy of living with the parents) did suspension, rims, tires, custom turbo kit, CF dash, few diff hoods and spoilers, custom body kit, etc. Then along came my son, and the Japanese vehicle had to go. haha. ![]() ![]() After I got rid of the tib, I somehow justified to myself that a 2005 SRT-4 was practical.. beginning: ![]() last days: ![]() Few days later, I was picking up my Liberty Sport. I LOVE IT. The main reason i got the Sport was for the fact i HATE chrome. I will be getting rid of the little bit of chrome as soon as I can. I was going to get 4WD, but I already had negative equity with trade-in/loan payoff and the payments were going to be a bit more than i wanted to pay with the 2WD model. I don't think ill ever really NEED 4WD, but after looking through some pics of trucks on here, makes me kinda jealous. haha. I only have a cell phone pic of the Jeep so far. Its just a base model with the Popular Equipment group. I have read alot so far in the KK section and plan on sharing some of my ideas and learning from you guys. I own/operate/develop/run whatever you'd like to call it, http://www.turbosocks.com I started a aftermarket car parts/turbo kits business for my old fellow tiburon owners as well as some other vehicles. I run the forums, store, and site. The site and store were all coded by me. I see you guys are running phpbb3 here.. good choice Some of the mods I plan on for the Jeep are mostly aesthetic, as I don't have 4WD. Black Headlight Housings HIDs HID fogs 2.5" lift (still looking into whats best) tinted corners tinted tails 20% window tint all around custom CAI LeBra (installing for the winter only) some actual 'truck' tires when i can muster up the $$$ black 16" truck wheels |

Welcome Don't worry to much about having a 2wd. There are a lot of them and to be honest, I have seen 2wd's really kick some butt AEM doesn't make one for the KK... It is one for the KA that is easily fitted..... What ever parts you make are welcome! |

oooo.. haha.. shows how much i have read. Either way, I took a look under the hood, and it should be pretty easy to make a decent CAI for cheap. I'm going to look into other parts (mostly performance) that I might be able to get made/make for the KK when i get a chance. I noticed alot of the KK guys are using the JET chips.. I had one in my SRT-4 and was not impressed, but theres lots of mixed feelings on JET chips, so my experience may have sucked. I am going to do some searching before I make any threads, but I would kind of like to make the 2WD Jeep at least a little worthy of some trails, if thats even possible. |

The stage 2 chip really helped my jeep..... A locker would be really worth your time. Like I said, I have seen a lot of locked 2wds that have done better then the 4wds.... If you need any thing or have a question, let me know
