Do you work for the railroad? Back in the 1990's I worked for SP/UP as a brakeman/switchman.

I wouldn't call North of I-70 SE Ohio. Due East more like it. Same for Due South. Portsmouth is Due South. Somewhere between I-70 and St Route 23 heading towards Marietta and Gallipolis from Columbus, would be SE Ohio.

well lets look at a map to make sure Barnesville hasn't moved in the last few years
Nope it hasn't,
still South of I-70 on the maps and the last time I went through town I had to go North to hit I-70 so it's Southeast Ohio !!! :pepper:
Maybe I should just switch and say, Appalachian Area of Ohio  Which with looking at it that way the only counties in the true Southeastern Ohio are Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Noble, Perry and Washington

Also from working for and with various non profit governmental agencies in Southeast Ohio for several years , the borders are sort of loosely (pretty much depending on funding sources) from Columbus south to Portsmouth, then from Columbus east to the St. Clairsville, Bellaire, Wheeling area. Everything in that area is Southeast Ohio :google:
