Hello all, bought mine after a trip to UK and having one as a rental in 2007.
Mine is set up w/the tow package, have had very few probs w/the jeep.
I do "always" have issues w/the tranni reseting itself after I tow, or make my anual trip to Kamloops/Sun Peaks in British Columbia. Three mountains passes in about 3 hours. Seems to confuse the darn thing. Then It just does not want to shift.
Most recent codes of P0715 and P0700. I usually just drive moderately for a few days and the system corrects itself.
I am certain this is all electrical rather than mechanical. Makes me crazy. Any thoughts?

Welcome Mark!

Be sure to post those codes in the crd or general section, the CRD guys may not frequent this area as quickly as you may wish to figure out the issues!

Welcome, Mark.

Ya, come join us in the "CRD. . . Love That Torque" section. Most CRD'ers rarely leave there.

From the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) list in the CRD Tech section:

P0700-TCM DTC .
P0700-TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (MIL REQUEST).
P0715-INPUT SPEED SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT

Here is the link to the Thread: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=40073

IIRC, the Input Speed sensor is on the exterior of the transmission, near the back on the passenger (starboard) side. You may have a loose wire, or some crud in the connector or something. There are other, more knowledgeable people in the CRD section that could probably offer you more help if you post there, since the tranny on the CRD is specific to that model.
