HI, I winter in Bullhead City Az. Summer near San Francisco.
I currently have a 2000 Chrerokee sport, with air intake and exhaust modifications.
I am considering up-grading to a Liberty CRD, for better towing and fuel miliage.
I have a Motorhome and use the Jeep as a toad as well as towing the quads and boat.

Welcome. The CRD is a great platform, but it's modification abilities are limited by the IFS. (all KJ's have this, but the CRD's diff is further out toward the driver's side to clear the oil pan = very short CV axle on the driver's side)
