Finally back into a jeep!
just purchased a 2007 yesterday with 40k on the ticker.
nothing major planned, just tint the front windows and some better tunes.
Snow tires for winter, and possibly a few steps up in tire size for next summer.
(any recomendations? was looking at 245-70-16 or 255-70-16 Destination A/T)

a little about me...
I run a sign/decal/tint shop in central WI.
Been into cars for 15yrs...
had a cherokee sport 2dr and cherokee 4dr HO in the past, LOVED THEM!!!
I'm into auto racing, lapping days, and autoX stuff.
Just sold my 2006 STi tuesday night, bought the Jeep wednesday!! ha
I still have an '86 Omni GLH-T for AutoCrossing though.
also in the garage is... supercharged mercedes, ZX6R rocket, and a Ford Focus for daily/work commute.
owned/sold over the past few years... '93 DSM turbo, '91/'98 Cherokees, '02 Lexus IS300, '03 EVO, '05 STi, '85 GLH-T

bought mostly for hauling the GLH to track days, and maybe taking the boat out once in a while. The GF likes sitting up a little higher while driving it as well... so i'm sure it'll stick around for a while for her at least!

anyways, I'll be lurking around here once in a while checking out the forums, some budget lift kits possibly  , and just in general researching/learning about the KJs!!

Thanks everyone!

Got around to tinting the windows today...

Image
Just went legal for WI, 50% front windows, and a thin visor strip too.

and for some reason it only came with THREE floor mats. hmph. owell.
I have some nice rubber ones for winter, but thought i'd go pick up some cheap Walmart ones for summer and make them look like they are supposed to be there at least! ha.

Image
I think they turned out pretty good for about 10 minutes and a can of black paint...
If i decide i don't like them, or it wears off too quickly... they were only $10. I'll still sleep fine.

also got rid of the front plate bracket and carefully plugged the holes left over. much cleaner now.

Can't wait to get some time and go find some trails or something off-pavement at least to have some fun with this new toy!

Welcome to LOST! I'm a fellow member a little to your south in Madison. Where in central WI are you?

Here is a pic of mine (nice color BTW) after a few modifications :D I just installed my lift last weekend. You'll find a LOT of helpful information on here and a lot of ideas on things you can do to and with it.

I'm trying to get a WI Meet and Greet together sometime so keep your eyes and ears open.

Good job on the tint and the mats, I find I just keep my rubber ones in all year.
